	<description> The Denver Broncos on Thursday promoted Don “Wink” Martindale to defensive coordinator, it was announced. Martindale coached the club’s linebackers in 2009 after spending five years in that role with the Oakland Raiders.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;“We are excited to name Wink Martindale our defensive coordinator,” Head Coach Josh McDaniels said. “Wink is the perfect fit to lead our defense after earning the respect of our players and coaching staff for the job he did this past year working with our linebackers.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;An all-state linebacker at Trotwood-Madison High School in Trotwood, Ohio, Martindale was born on May 19, 1963, in Dayton, Ohio. 	<description>The Montgomery County Common Pleas court has issued a temporary restraining order, which orders Higgins Station, a Trotwood bar, to be immediately closed.  The bar on E. Main Street has been the scene of two homicides in the last 10 months.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The restraining order came after Police Chief Quincy Pope called Higgins Station &quot;an imminent public safety problem.&quot;  Chief Pope cites more than 150 calls to the bar in recent years.  A full hearing will be held to see whether the bar should be closed permanently.</description>

	<description>A man convicted of shooting six people and killing one at the Higgins Station bar last December has been sentenced to 89 years to life in prison.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Rodney Young was convicted on August 20 of all 17 felony counts brought against him. The charges included one count of murder, 12 counts of felonious assault, one count of illegal possession of a firearm in a liquor permit premises, one count of carrying a concealed weapon, and two counts of possessing a weapon after a felony conviction.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;</description>

	<title>Seven Police Officers to be laid off</title>

	<description>The Trotwood Police Department was recently awarded $438,000 by the federal government to fund two police officer positions over the next couple of years.  Even though the stimulus funds are being awarded to Trotwood, they announced plans to lay-off seven police officers.  Three of the lay-offs will be absorbed through attrition, but four officers will soon get their walking papers.  Two of the positions are said to be supervisor positions, but it is not certain whether those supervisors will be re-assigned to patrol duties.</description>
